Some projects start out as businesses… and others are born out of necessity. Ours began with something much simpler: missing things.
Missing flavours, customs, rituals and little everyday moments. Things that seem normal when you’re at home, but which, when you’re far away, become something you seek out, miss and appreciate in a different way.
That’s how it all began, back in 2002, with the idea of creating a place in Barcelona where those moments wouldn’t be lost. A place where Argentinians and Uruguayans could feel a little closer to home again; where a shared mate, an alfajor or a favourite sweet could spark memories, conversations and that feeling of ‘being close’, through the flavours that transport us back home.

That’s how we started out, long before there were so many options; we opened our doors with a very clear vision: to bring a little piece of home to those who missed it.
Over the years we’ve grown, new products have arrived, new stories have unfolded, and thousands of people have passed through our shop. But one thing has never changed: we still believe that we don’t just sell products.
